Learners' Evening

Learners' Evening or Oíche na bhFoghlaimeoirí is on every Monday evening from 7:30pm to 8.30pm.  This is a great chance to practice whatever Irish you have in an informal, friendly setting.  The group plays board games, discusses different topics and learns a few new phrases every evening. The main aim is building confidence in speaking the language with others and enjoying it.  You can call in any time and new people are always welcome.

Free entry.

Student Nights

Every Tuesday night in Club Áras na nGael is student night.

Galway is a fantastic place for students and the Club is a cosy, close-knit place with a different vibe to other bars and clubs.  Whether it's  a night of great music or one of the special themed nights arranged with the university societies, it's always worth calling in.

Seisiún Mall

Club Áras na nGael has a slow session every Monday between 8:30pm agus 10:00pm.  The session is aimed at musicians of all levels with a special welcome for those who don't have much session experience and who would like to change that.  The session is open and laid back and gives a warm welcome to musicians who are still improving or have started a new instrument.  We play at a speed suitable for everyone and try a new tune together every now and then.

Rince Sean-Nós

Club Áras na nGael hosts sean-nós (meaning old-style) dancing classes with teacher Pádraig Ó hOibicín.  Pádraig is well renown as a dancing teacher and has won the Oireachtas competition.  These classes are available at different levels, meaning that they are perfect for anyone who would like to improve or for those who are just starting out.

You can find information on upcoming courses on the classes page here.
