Irish language officer for Maigh Cuilinn

An exciting job opportunity has arisen in Moycullen where a language development officer is being sought to implement the recently approved Irish language plan, a plan which seeks to increase the daily use of Irish in this fast growing community.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Maigh Cuilinn language planning committee, Gaeilge Mhaigh Cuilinn, which is a joint working group established by the local development committee, MCDA and the local branch of Conradh na Gaeilge. The successful candidate will also build on the existing Irish language activities, including the hugely successful Féasta Sraide and the Campa Samhraidh, while also developing the new developments outlined in the Plean Teanga.

The new position carries a salary scale of €35,000 to €50,000 and the language officer will be based in Teach na Gaeilge in Moycullen. Applicants should send a letter and CV to the Chairperson of Gaeilge Mhaigh Cuilinn at OPTMhaighCuilinn@gmail.com before 5.00pm on Friday the 14th of February.
